Robert Joseph Geismar

Robert Joseph Geismar, affectionately known as "Beege," passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on April 11, 1953, in Rochester, NY, Robert was the beloved son of Lee and Elizabeth Geismar.
Robert graduated from Northeast High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in 1971, where he met his beloved wife of 49 years, Deborah. His life was marked by his passion for sports and his vibrant personality. Robert graduated from The University of Florida with a degree in broadcast journalism, a field that allowed him to combine his love for storytelling and sports. He went on to host and produce "The Tenth Frame," a popular bowling show that entertained audiences for several years.
A diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns, Florida Gators, and Los Angeles Dodgers, Robert's enthusiasm for sports was infectious. He loved to talk sports trivia, diving deep into stats, historic games, and the achievements of legendary players. Robert was also an avid golfer, known not only for his skills on the course but also for his dedication to teaching and inspiring others. His book, "One Thought Golf," encapsulated his philosophy and love for the game, leaving a lasting impact on many.
Beege's gregarious nature and quirky sense of humor endeared him to everyone he met. He never met a stranger, and his ability to connect with people was one of his most cherished traits.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah, and their cherished children: Andy (Sara), Dan (Jennifer), and Amy (Cory). Robert was a proud grandfather to Bella, Noah, Hudson, Dominic, Mason, and Sloane, and a loving brother to Tom Geismar (Laurie). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews: Sarah, Matthew, Rebecca, Michael, and Stephanie; and his father-in-law Vernon Hunter.
