We would like to announce the loss of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Marietta Mae Henderson, on Saturday, November 1,2025 at Morning Star Memory Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by her family and friends. Born on April 7,1941, in Lachine, Michigan. Marietta grew up in a loving farm family in Michigan in her early years and graduated from Wayne State University and Harper Hospital School of Nursing earning her nursing degree. After graduation, she and friend Linda wanted to go "west" and that's when she met Dave in Cheyenne, Wyoming, spending the next sixty years together. She worked at Presbyterian Hospital for over twenty years as an operating room nurse. She was loved by her fellow nurses and was always the first to arrive at work and the last to leave. Marietta was a remarkable, loving person with the most wonderful, radiant smile. She was a great artist leaving us so many wonderful paintings. She said she missed her "calling" as an artist and that when she had told her mother, her mother said you better be a nurse so you can make a living. She enjoyed taking photos, reading, site-seeing and watching her children's sporting events. She was a member of the Lutheran Church, the Albuquerque Mothers of Twin Club and multiple nursing organizations. She loved horses, Roy Rogers and the Detroit Redwings. She is survived by her husband Dave, her daughter Heather Rivera Henderson and Ian Harmon, son Ted and wife Jennifer, son Tom and wife Wendy, Grandchildren Kyleigh, Jake and Max and her cat, White Shoes Johnson. She was proceeded in death by her parents Earl and Mary Klein, sisters Erdine Kanaar, Marguerite Klein, and Marian Tyer, and her brother Earl Wayne Klein (Sonny).
