Marilyn Levine Altman, born in Port Huron, Michigan, on either November 23, 1933, or December 23, 1933 (depending upon who you ask), passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, surrounded by her three loving daughters. She was the cherished daughter of the late Bernard and Fanny Levine and the beloved wife of the late Richard Monroe Altman.
Marilyn was a devoted sister and sister in law to Babe and Ken Zuppke, Joseph and Adrianne Levine, and David Levine. She was a loving mother to Lynda Altman Robeson (Charlie), Lori Helene Rossio (Marc), and Jennifer Lee Snyder (David). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Hannah Seicol (Ben), Maya Rossio, Max Snyder, and Jonah Snyder, and her great-granddaughter, Ellie Monroe Seicol.
Marilyn's career as a retail sales superstar spanned several prominent stores, including Mademoiselle and Nat Greens in Detroit, and Madisons and Parisian in Cincinnati. She graduated from Central High School in 1951 and was an avid bowler with B'nai B'rith.
Above all, Marilyn's greatest loves were her family and her Mahj games. As the matriarch of our family, she was loved and respected by so many and will be so deeply missed.
Graveside services will be at Walnut Hills Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13th, and Shiva will be held at the home of Jennifer and David Snyder later that same day from 4-6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to either Isaac M. Wise Temple in Cincinnati, OH, or Temple Beth Shalom in New Albany, OH, would be appreciated.
