Marilyn Virginia Kilcoyne McGraw, 83, of Hamden and Guilford, CT passed away peacefully Wednesday May 17, 2023 at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, Massachusetts. She was the beloved wife of the late Clinton G. McGraw. Marilyn was born in New Haven, CT, on was the daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia (Gillen) Kilcoyne. A graduate of Hamden High School, Marilyn was employed in the benefits office of The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 478 for many years, until her retirement in 2004. She enjoyed fashion design, interior decorating, sewing, embroidery, Irish and Country Music, watching General Hospital, reruns of Bob Ross the painter and the UConn Women's Basketball team. Marilyn enjoyed traveling each summer with her husband and daughters to various cities in the US to attend annual conventions of the Volkswagen Club of America, of which they were members. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great granddaughter. Marilyn leaves behind her daughters, Linda Eavens (Michael) of Torrington, and Nancy McGraw (Jason Canty) of Hamden. Her grandchildren, Faith Kupiec, Zachary and Steven Eavens, her great granddaughter Jordan Kupiec, brothers William Kilcoyne and Raymond (Nancy) Kilcoyne and her niece and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Carol Kilcoyne. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Regalcare Harwich, Mass., for their loving care of their mother, especially Terry, Anton, Donna, Melanie, Penny (and Lola) and Joen. And a very special thanks to her granddaughter, Faith.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 30 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday morning, May 31 at 9:30 to St. Paul VI Parish at St. Rita's Church, 1620 Whitney Avenue, Hamden for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery
