Marilyn was born in Akron to her parents Gligori "Joseph" Tocoian and Verna (Hemminger) August 21, 1944.
She was a long-time resident of Akron and also resided in College Park, Maryland, and Tehran, Iran.
Marilyn worked for the University of Maryland, the U.S. Army, Telxon, and the late attorney, Jerome Holub's law firm, during her career.
From youth, Marilyn took great joy in raising and showing collies, and then later shelties. As Keystone Shelties, she carefully raised and matched beloved Sheltie companions with families across the country.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty and Eileen, and her former husband, Nematollah.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Sophia and Ren; and her children, Laila (Andre), Shireen, Yusef, and Ali (Lynn); as well as their brothers, Jahangir (Linda) and Jamshid, and their families.
The family will hold a private burial at Foxfield Preserve in Wilmot, Ohio.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is assisting the family.
