With a profound dedication to education, Marilyn devoted her career to shaping young minds as a Teacher in the field of Special Education in Clark Township, New Jersey. Her commitment to nurturing those with unique challenges was a testament to her compassionate heart, as she believed every child deserved the chance to succeed and shine. Her academic journey began at Kean University, where she honed her passion for education, furthering her expertise with a Master's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Marilyn was an active member of Life Point Church and contributed to her community through the New Jersey Teacher Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, always striving to make the world a little brighter for those around her. She was a faithful contributor and donor to Compassion International Her great faith in Jesus Christ guided her throughout her life.
Together with her beloved husband, Joe Sakowski, Marilyn co-managed Sac's Tax Services, providing invaluable support and forging lasting connections with clients.
A woman of diverse interests and daring adventures, Marilyn found joy and freedom in line dancing, was a avid tennis and pickle ball player. She explored new horizons through travel, especially cherishing the tranquil beauty of cruising and visiting many islands. Her zest for life carried her down ski slopes in Colorado and Vermont, always ready for the next exhilarating run.
Marilyn's unwavering faith and dedication to service blessed all who had the privilege to know her. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Edgar Fredrick Moore and Ann Elizabeth Brady, and her brother Wayne Worrell, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Joe Sakowski, along with their children: Michael Sakowski, and daughter Jennifer Pinnella, married to Michael. Marilyn's legacy continues through her family, who will remember her as a beacon of love, strength, and inspiration.
