Marilyn Rose Siler (née Strobel), 79, of Naples, Florida, passed away on August 26, 2025, with her husband of 58 years, David and daughters, by her side. Marilyn was born on March 6, 1946, and adopted from OLV Father Baker's Home in Lackawanna, NY by Michael and Gladys Strobel. She attended Attica High School and graduated with the class of 1964. Marilyn met the love of her life, David, at Saint Cecilia's Church, Sheldon, NY. She worked as a bank teller at Liberty National Bank for several years and took great pride in her ability to work with numbers. The church sweethearts married on August 12, 1967, at St. Cecilia's. Marilyn was a very active leader in the church and Harris Corners Volunteer Fire Company. Together they raised three beautiful daughters: Gidget Podkulski of Hamburg, NY; Jody Naso of Naples, FL; and Toni Cox of West Baden Springs, IN. Marilyn devoted herself to her family. As a loving mother, she was always playing with her children, volunteering at their schools, organizing neighborhood events, and welcoming both her children and their friends into her home. The house was always filled with love and laughter. The family lived in East Aurora, New York, on a dairy farm, where they cared for farmhands and grew large gardens that stretched for what felt like miles. Wanting to escape the cold, they moved to Winchester, Virginia, for two years, then to San Carlos Park, Florida, before finally building their home in Naples, where they have lived for the past 25 years. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, David; her sister, Diane (Ken) Standish; her daughters, Gidget (Richard), Jody (late Paul), and Toni (Rick); her grandchildren Jordan, Whitney, Sean (Alyssa), Stefan, Davis, Chasity, Hayden, Sara (David), Lydia, Chad, and Cara; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Gladys, and her sister, Judy (Dean) Sawyer. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Church in Naples on September 12th at 11:00 A.M., with a gathering to follow. The family will also host a celebration of life in New York in the summer of 2026.
