Marilyn M. Sodergren

Marilyn Sodergren nee Molgren, 86, of Wheaton. Beloved Wife of the late Judson Carl Sodergren for 52 years; loving mother of Andrea Sodergren, and Julie (Shawn) Stevens; cherished grandmother of Devin Vahl, Henry Vahl, Owen Stevens, and Avery Stevens; dear daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle Molgren; fond sister of the late Jerry Molgren and beloved sister-in-law and aunt of many nieces & nephews.

Marilyn was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wheaton and the church secretary there for 17 years. She participated in quilting, the church choirs, book clubs,organized the ushers and generally kept everything running, among many other things. She was a lifelong Lutheran and had a strong faith. Her sense of humor came shining through in everything she did, whether it was her side "job" as a professional clown with her friend Lois, her practical jokes or April Fool's day bulletin. She was a world traveler both in backpacking through Europe for 3 weeks with Andrea and Julie or circling the globe in a 6 week trip with her friend Lillian. She was a true light of this world and will be dearly missed.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until time of memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at St Paul Lutheran Church, 515 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton. Fellowship to follow service. Services conclude at the church.
