Marilyn graduated from Middlebranch High School, Canton OH
Married Herbert E. Switzer, US Army on January 6, 1951
For 18 years the family did tours in Fort Campbell KY, West Point NY, Fort Sill OK and Fort Hood TX. The family did 2 tours to Germany. Her husband retired after 21 years in the Army in 1968. They then settled in California. Preceded in death by her husband Herb. Marilyn is survived by her five children. Sons Ritchie (Hye Chung), Kenny, and David and daughters Faye and Jackie (Steve). Grandchildren Raymond, Steven, Angela, Andrew, Connie, Nicole, Fallon, Cody, James Rhiannon, and Ethan. Great Grandchildren Trevor, Jackie, Cooper, Reina, Ragan, Kent Kennedy, Kensington, Scarlett, Clara, Logan, Oliver and Layla.
At the time of death Marilyn resided in Escalon CA.
Burial will be at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella CA.
