Marilyn Betty Wright

Marilyn Betty Wright, 89, of Evansville, passed away, Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Linda E. White Hospice House.
Marilyn was born on April 20, 1935 in Mackey, Indiana to the late Luther and Eunice (Gibson) Kleiman. Marilyn was a graduate of the University of Evansville School of Nursing and retired from the Indiana Army National Guard as a Major. She worked as a school nurse for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation for twenty-one years. After retiring, Marilyn enjoyed her daily walks with her dogs around the Evansville State Hospital grounds, as well as attending agility courses in the Evansville Obedience Club with her border collie Max. She traveled extensively, along with her family, throughout the United States and the world.
Surviving Marilyn are daughters, Kathy (Michael) Lutterbach and Debbie Ray; four grandchildren, Michael Ray, Kristina Higginbotham, Katie Heilmann and Katherine Davis as well as two great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Ohlrogge; daughter, Connie G. Davis and siblings, Ruby Deken and Kenneth Kleiman.
Funeral services for Marilyn will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Terry Gamblin officiating. Burial will be at St. John's UCC Cemetery in Buckskin, Indiana.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
