I worked with Mike on first platoon in Genesee Section . I was a rookie and Mike was always there to advise me about what being a police officer was all about, We became friends and was I saddened when he retired . I have many fond memories of Mike and tried to pass on some of the knowledge he taught me to other officers over the years .

Mike came on the job the year I was born! When I was a rookie I worked with him on the overnight shift. He already had 20+ years on the job. First stop every night after roll call was a cup of coffee at Nick Tahoe's. Actually, I knew him before as our families were friends from the neighborhood. To Fran and family, we send our condolences and pray that all those good memories will keep Mario close to you.
