Carol was a 1954 graduate of Allendale Columbia School where she made life-long friends. She attended Mount Vernon Junior College in Washington D.C. where she met her husband Henry Adams Metcalf.
Carol was a member of Christ Church Pittsford for decades, where she found a community she loved and a place she belonged. Carol was most happy spending time with her children and grand-children and could be counted on in helping those in need.
Carol loved animals, especially dogs, and she also loved baseball and was often found cheering for the Boston Red Sox.
Carol loved life and always wanted to have fun. Her laugh and sense of humor will be remembered by all who loved her; she will be missed dearly.
Carol was blessed over the years with many special and close friends. She is finally ‘home’ and surely having some laughs with her dearest friends (Andy, Joyce and Doris), as well as reuniting with her mother and sister. Special thanks to her caregivers, especially to Rachel for her unwavering support, love, kindness and compassion.
Burial will be private, and a Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lifespan (www.lifespanrochester.org) in Carol’s memory.
