Marion L. Carlow

Presque Isle – Marion L. Carlow, 88, passed away at the Aroostook House of Comfort on Saturday, November 16, 2024. She was born July 27, 1936, in Calais Maine to Willard and Pauline (Eye) Lane.
Marion was a homemaker; cook and teacher's aide at the Presque Isle School System for over 30 years. When she was not doing one of those jobs you could find her knitting, crocheting, or crafting. Marion loved to craft for different charities, members of her church and her family members. In her later years she used her cooking skills to cater private events.
Marion attended church and was involved in many different church groups all her life. She loved to volunteer and help in any way she could. Traveling and exploring were other activities Marion loved to do. Some of her favorite places she traveled to was Dollywood, Germany, and Euro Disney. She especially enjoyed traveling to see her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman, brother Norman Lane, and sister Joyce (Lane) Earl.
Marion is survived by her sister Lillian (Lane) Johnston of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, two sons; Ron and his wife Barbara Carlow of Hermon, ME, David and his wife Robin Carlow of Simpsonville, SC, grandchildren; Jessica and her husband Doug Westman of Brewer, ME, Michelle Carlow and her significant other Chris Bryden of Bangor, ME, Paul and his wife Megan Carlow of Simpsonville, SC, Scott Carlow and his significant other Kayle Doane of Simpsonville, SC., great-grandchildren Kaleb Westman and Myranda Westman of Brewer, ME. Marion also leaves behind a precious goddaughter Denise Bither of Bangor, ME.
The family would like to thank the Aroostook House of Comfort, Regina Craig, Sherry Cole and Dawn McKenney for Marion's care and as longstanding dear friends. The family would like to thank Marion's niece Linda (Lane) Adams and her husband Steve for their love and care of Marion.
A celebration of life for Marion will be held 2 PM, Saturday December 14th at the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church 79 Fleetwood St, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
