Colonie – Marion G. Edwards, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ravena and was the daughter of the late James and Rose Frangella Tompkins.
Today our Mom went to be with her family in Heaven, her original home! To say she just birthed us into this world would be an understatement. She taught us how to be ladies and to have great manners, to appreciate beautiful music and to LOVE! She saw us through good times and bad. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren so much and showed/helped us to be great Moms! She was so loving! Helped disabled children to swim and to feel the freedom of swimming in water! Children she babysat, became family. She had so much patience! I could go on and on! She went through heartache and extreme happiness and she always made it seem so seamless! How could we ask for anything more. She was a silent fighter, never letting you know what was truly hurting her. We looked up to her and will never forget her. She was the ultimate Wife, hostess, Mom, Grandmother and friend. Our Mama, we will miss you so much. Your beautiful shining brown eyes and gentle smile. I know we will all meet again in the Cosmos! We will have a big Family reunion. We love you so much! Thank you for being our MOM!
