Marion Kennedy, a beacon of warmth and faith in the community, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on March 18, 1941, in Yonkers, NY, Marion's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
Marion's early years in Yonkers laid the foundation for a life filled with devotion to her family and her faith. She was the cherished daughter of the late Bonifacio and Raphaela (nee DeCiuceis) Palumbo. Marion's journey through life was shared with her beloved husband, Philip, who predeceased her, as did her treasured son, John. Her legacy continues through her loving daughters, Patricia and Maureen Kennedy, who will carry on her traditions and values.
For many years, Marion served the community as a bank teller at Mahopac National Bank. She was a familiar and trusted face to many, known for her kindness and patience. Her colleagues and customers alike admired Marion for her dedication and genuine care for everyone she encountered.
Above all, Marion was a dedicated wife and mother, often described as the heart of her family. She found her greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as cooking for family and friends. Her kitchen was a place of gathering, laughter, and the sharing of stories, with the aroma of her delicious meals bringing comfort and happiness to all who entered.
A devout Catholic, Marion's life was guided by her deep and abiding faith. She lived her beliefs through her actions, showing compassion and charity in all aspects of her life. Marion was truly faith-filled, a description that perfectly encapsulates her character and the way she led her life.
