Marion Kathy Kurth, 69, passed away March 11, 2025.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Marion “Kathy” Kurth, at the age of 69, on March 11, 2025. A cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kathy passed peacefully after months of illness.

Born on May 12,1955 in Athens, GA Kathy was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her. She was a woman of warmth and unwavering love, always ready to offer a helping hand. Kathy enjoyed cooking and loved to share her special meals with others. She lived most of her adult life in Snellville, GA with her late husband, Ken, where she raised her girls and enjoyed getting involved in her community. She worked 30+ years in the childcare industry and loved her work friends, the children, and their families dearly.

Her greatest joy in life was her role as Nana. She had a special way of making each of her grandchildren feel loved. Whether she was attending sporting events, playing games, or simply cuddling together, Nana was a constant source of comfort and joy to them. Her legacy of love will continue through the generations she touched so deeply. Her infectious laugh and joyful spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Rebecca and Milton Eidson and her husband, Kenneth Kurth. She is survived by her daughters, Katie (David) Bustle and Kelsey (Andy) Lee; sister, Joy (Ronnie) Ogletree; five grandchildren, Emerson Bustle, Gillian Bustle, Henry Lee, Audrey Lee and Hudson Lee who will carry on her memory with love and gratitude. We take comfort knowing that our mom’s love will always be with us. She will be forever missed.

The family will receive family and friends Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, WEST. No services are scheduled at this time.
