Marion Mecsey Obituary
Marion June Mecsey, age 93, passed away May 13, 2024.
June was the beloved wife of the late Bert Mecsey; loving mother of Kathleen Mecsey, Thomas (Cindy) Mecsey, Diane (William) McMarlin, David (Laurie) Mecsey, and Donald (Vickie) Mecsey; devoted grandmother of Katherine (Nawar) Georges, Laura (Adam) Boyce, Bryan (Marie) Mecsey, Lauren McMarlin, Tyler (Erin) Mecsey, and D.J. (Derrick) Robertson; proud great-grandmother of Adelaide, Maxwell, Frances June, Liam, Mara, Sophie, Vincenzo, Emily, and Tate; and dear sister of Marguerite Payne and the late Frank Thomas. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
June was a great neighbor and friend to have because she was always friendly, kind, and generous to all that met her. June loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. She was a good person who truly valued family, friends, and faith. June was a long-time member of Our Lady of Grace Parish and was quite active at the church for many years. Her giving spirit had her helping her neighbors, friends, parish, and community with all of their good works.
Visitation Sunday, May 19, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan. Instate Monday, May 20, from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Parish (formerly St. Cletus Catholic Church), 26256 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan. Interment will follow the Mass at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan, at 2:00 p.m.
Donations in June's memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Capuchins.

My grandma was deeply committed to her family. In her final days, Marion was smiling and playing coins with her great grandson. She had a great sense of humor and was the kindest human being. I will miss her stories and laughter. She enjoyed life and will be missed greatly.
