Marion Kibble Smith, III, passed away Saturday 30 March 2024 in California, where he lived for the past 40 years. His was a life well-lived and he has left behind a large footprint. He battled cancer 3 times and won, but he lost his fight the 4 th time around.
Marion (Smitty) taught Industrial Arts, including Woodworking, for several years in Riverside, California where he also taught Senior Government and was a School Counselor at the Middle & High School Levels.
He had life-long friends from Maryland's Eastern Shore where he was born, grew up, and graduated from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore (UMES). Most summers, he travelled to Salisbury to go to a Baseball Game with his friends. Last year he celebrated with his life-long friends at his 50 th high school reunion in Salisbury.
Marion will be remembered as a kind, loving, humorous & fun, creative, intelligent man with many gifts, talents and abilities. He lived well, loved well, and is forever loved.
You are Invited to attend Marion's "Celebration of Life" Service, which will be held:
Place: Holloway Mortuary: 501 Snowhill Road Date: Tuesday, September 10, 2024 Time: 2-4pm
