Ms. Marisa Christine Escamilla, age 39, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Marisa was born on June 25, 1986 in Houston, Texas to Mr. Gustavo Escamilla and Mrs. Trina Lucille Vanleuven. She worked as a substitute teacher for Paulding County School District. She had received her bachelor's degree in psychology. Marisa loved reading and music, and loved to make everyone laugh. Most of all, she was a devoted mother to her 5 children that she loved dearly.
She is survived by her children, Jacob Escamilla, Malik Abdur-Rabbani, Safiya Abdur-Rabbani, Zakariya Abdur-Rabbani, Khalessi Escamilla; mother, Trina Lucille Vanleuven; step-father, Daniel Alvarado; father, Gustavo Escamilla; siblings, James Ormsby, Gus Escamilla, Cheyanna Vanleuven, Dallas Vanleuven, Dustin Vanleuven, Dakota Vanleuven, Scotty Almazan, Reanna Almazan, Dylan Alvarado, Dalton Alvarado, Isabella Alvarado; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral Services for Ms. Marisa Christine Escamilla will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 6 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home. She will be cremated following the services.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 2 P.M. until the time of the service at 6 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
