Marjorie "Margie" Ann Carroll, 77, of Rockford, passed away on June 14, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1945, in Rockford, the daughter of Jerome and Regina (Fitzpatrick) Mahan. She married Dennis "Denny" Carroll on January 18, 1975, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2017.
Margie was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She donated to overseas charities and Holy Family Church. She loved playing cards, puzzles, and traveling with Denny. Margie cherished the time spent with her kids and grandkids. She is a loving, caring, and spunky mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Jacob Carroll, Mark (Gwen) Carroll, and Paul (Rachel) Carroll; grandchildren, Reece, Cameron, Caleb, Cody, and Gavin; sister, Rosie (Terry) Olszewski; and nieces, Katie Carmichael, Kyra Larson and Kerri Murray; sister-in-law, Leslie Mahan. She is predeceased by her parents; husband and brother, Steve Mahan.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road Rockford, IL 61107. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carroll Family. Please share memories and condolences online.
