Dear, Marjorie Ann, of Flint, formerly of Flushing, age 92, died Sunday, August 10, 2025, at her home.

A Memorial Mass in remembrance of both Marjorie and Robert will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing. Father Brian Lenz will officiate. Following the service, they will be interred together at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. on Friday at church until the time of Mass.

Marjorie was born in Flint, Michigan on January 8, 1933, the daughter of Aldrich and Stella (Kapusta) Smeage. She married Robert Elmer Dear on October 13, 1951 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Flint. Together with her husband, they loved to travel. They enjoyed camping, boating, going on cruises and had several RV's and motorhomes throughout the years and were able to travel to all 50 states. Marjorie and Robert were fans of stock car racing and often spent time together at Auto City and other local tracks. They were members of St. Robert Catholic Church for over 50 years. Marjorie was faithfully involved with the church and loved being part of the choir. She also found great joy as a dedicated volunteer for McLaren Medical Center.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael and wife Cindi Dear, Paul and wife Amma Dear, Joseph and wife Cynthia Dear; grandchildren, Michael, II, Amy, Nicole, Hannah, McKayla, Jacob; great-grandchildren, Megan, Mason; sister, Dorothy Somers and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Robert and parents, Aldrich and Stella Smeage.

The family would like to thank Woodhaven for providing a good home for their parents. Also, a special thanks to Homestead and the Medical Team Hospice for their loving care.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic School.
