Robert James Good

Good, Robert James of Flushing, age 79, died Sunday, August 17, 2025, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church, 4222 N. Elms Rd. Flushing. Pastor James Brabson will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church until the time of the service at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church or the Flint Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Robert was born in Jackson, Michigan on September 13, 1945, the son of Ralph and Winifred (Mohr) Good. On June 15, 1968, he married his beloved Jacqueline Miner in Jackson, beginning a devoted partnership of 57 years. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves for seven years. He began his career with Goodyear before working throughout the auto industry with General Motors. He was a faithful and active member of Trinity Baptist Church where he worked with the Reformers Unanimous (RU) addictions program and also with the Genesee County Jail Ministry. He also enjoyed hunting, boating and fishing. Robert had a competitive spirit and enjoyed playing games with his family. He was a fix-it man who was hardworking and always helping others.

Robert's legacy of faith, family, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jacqueline; children, Pamela (Bryon) Cassavoy, Scott (Bethany) Good, Matthew (Kelly) Good; grandchildren, Dakota "Cody" Crump, Anabella Castillo-Dominguez, Gwendolyn Good, Gabriella Good; and siblings, Frank (Connie) Good, Gerald (Jill) Good, Gloria (Tim) Johnson, Mark (Becky) Good. He was preceded in death by his parents.
