Obituary of Mark Eric Alder
It is with great sadness that the family of Mark E. Alder announces his passing on February 29, 2024. He is survived by his nine siblings Kris Simpson, Dan Alder, Linda Rachu, John Alder, Karen Londo, Kevin Alder, Marchelle Brotz, Charlene Cach, Mike Alder, their spouses and nieces and nephews.
Mark grew up in Michigan eventually moving to North Carolina where he was an Engineering Consultant and proud owner of a country store, Mountain Marks. His next adventure took him to Cocoa Beach, FL where he enjoyed surfing, kayaking, riding his bike, and getting up early to catch the sunrises while taking his walks on the beach. He enjoyed doing crafts of woodwork and wood carving. His AA group was a big part of his life, where he met and sponsored many. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his beloved dog, Roxy.

We met Mark 35 years ago in Gastonia, NC and have remained close friends ever since. My house is full of things he fixed and he was always willing to help another person. Our lives have been enriched in recovery by this unique guy and I could not begin to tell funny experiences we've had on this journey. You are at peace my brother. Jeff & Becky Lefler
