Mark Stephen Bansemer, age 67, passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 27th 2024 after a long debilitating illness.
Mark was born on April 8, 1957, to John and Maria Jimenez Bansemer in Afton, Oklahoma. Mark graduated from Miami High School in 1975, he then went on to study business administration at Northeastern Oklahoma College where he completed an associate degree in 1977.
After graduating from college Marked resided in Miami, Oklahoma and worked at Eagle Pitcher Boron plan in Quapaw, Oklahoma for many years. He later relocated to Tulsa where he used his customer service and managerial skills to assist failing businesses. He later had a lengthy career with Kinkos before retiring. Mark moved after retirement to Wellington, Kansas where he lived for over 20 years.
Mark was an avid car enthusiast and loved music of varying genres.
Mark never married or had children. He is survived by his aunts: Jennie Mistler and husband Roger, Carman Lindsey, Ramona Gonzalez, Anita Avila and husband Billy, Helen Jimenez and a large extended family of cousins who were like brothers and sisters to him. Mark cherished the role he filled as a surrogate brother, father, uncle, and grandfather. Mark loved his family and was lovingly known as Uncle Mark to many and was an important part of their lives.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents John and Maria Bansemer.
Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024 in St. Anthony St Rose Catholic Church in Wellington, Kansas. Immediately following Mass in the parish hall will be a memory sharing followed by lunch.
