Mark David Beery
Mark left this world on Sunday, August 11th at his home in Columbus, Ohio. In spite of being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 5, he was ready to celebrate his 58th birthday which amazed his doctors. Mark led a full life and made the most of it. He graduated from Lima Senior High School where he was at the top of his class and involved in anything related to music. He then went on to the Ohio State University Lima Branch where he was voted "Music Student of the Year" in his junior year. He loved playing the drums and was in musicals, show choir, etc. He received his bachelor's degree after transferring to OSU Columbus with a degree in Business Administration. He made the decision to stay in Columbus and worked with several companies while there. Mark loved the Buckeyes, his Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds. He loved going to their games and rooting them on!
He is survived by his parents, David and Beverly Beery; brother, Jeff (Jennifer) Beery; niece, Kaitlynn (Evan) Pfeiffer; nephew, Chase Beery; two great nephews, Conrad and Will; aunt and uncle, Howard and Ruby Clark, aunt and uncle, Jerry and Diane Clark, aunt and uncle, Emerson and Jo Beery; and two cousins, Michelle (Ed) Ward, and Jeri Lynn (Randy) Tooker.
A private graveside memorial service for the family will be held on Thursday, August 15th starting at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home and ending at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Mark's memory may be made to Deb's Dogs (Mark loved his pets; especially his best friend, Rocket), Family Promise or to the Mark Beery Music Memorial Scholarship at Lima City Schools, made payable to the Lima City Schools Foundation.
Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.

Mark was so fun in high school. Can't believe he's gone, and so is Barry Blodgett, who was good friends with Mark back in school.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart is broken for all of you who loved him.
