Mark was born in Portland, Oregon to Edward and Joyce (Reynolds) Caryl. He lived in Beaverton, Oregon and attended Aloha High School, where he was very active in the drama department. After high school, Mark moved to Salem. He was employed by ABC N.W. (Sports Cards), Culbertsons, and Raw Automotive, where he was office manager.
He had a great connection with children and was especially helpful with many of his senior friends, helping them with their phones, computers, television, and anything else to do with electronics. He also liked helping people with ancestry searches.
Mark is survived by his mother, Joyce Cristofolo; father, Edward Caryl; brother, Scott Caryl; sister-in-law, Christine Caryl; stepsister, Tina Krzycki; and Lonnie Tenney-Lay, who he helped raise as his own child.
He will be greatly missed by many family and friends.

Mark was one of our best friends. He always had good humor and great idea for anything. He was a kind person with a beautiful heart. He will be missed a lot! We love him! Rest in peace, Mark! Thanks for everything and for a great friendship. You are always in our memory. Tana and JT
