Mark Chick Obituary
Mark was born in Portland, ME, to Charles and Julia Chick. Mark is the second of four children: Christopher, Jonathan, and Matthew. Mark graduated from Wareham High School in 1986 and went on to study at Bentley College in Waltham. Mark was owner and president of AJ Marks Jewelers in Wareham, MA for over 30 years, and worked alongside his brothers, Chris, Jon, and Matt, for many years.
Mark enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a generous benefactor to many charitable organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, Wareham High School DECA, Sacred Heart Elementary, Cardinal Spellman High School, Dana Farber, and other cancer charities.
Mark is survived by his wife, Sarah (Donovan), and his children, Jordan of Marion, MA, and Anna and Tristan of Sagamore Beach, MA, his mother, Julia, his aunt, Ruth Roughtvedt, his brother, Jonathan, and wife, Gillian, his brother, Matthew, and wife, Mary, his sister-in-law, Lisa, his mother- and father-in-law, Marlita and Robert Donovan, his brother-in-law, Christopher, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Mark is predeceased by his father, Charles, and his brother, Christopher.
Visitation for Mark will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 – 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 803 State Rd., Plymouth, MA on Friday, October 11th at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Agawam Cemetery, Wareham.
