Mark Alexander Crots

Mark Alexander Crots, age 63, passed away peacefully at home with his family present on August 26, 2025. Mark was born on August 17, 1962, to Raymond and Donna Crots. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. If you knew Mark, you knew him as an outgoing, talkative, funny guy who loved the Lord and would do anything for his family and friends.
Mark was known for his handiness to fix anything that breaks thanks to skills he acquired from his many years working at the Monroe County KOA family business. He could be found on his John Deere Gator racing around the campground to fix the next issue. In 2001, he started working at NBS of Toledo, OH, installing office furniture. Due to health issues, he discontinued employment at NBS. He was happiest on the green tractor helping at the Klump farm when possible.
He was a member of Hope Baptist Church of Toledo, OH. His favorite ministry was making sure the vending machine was stocked so that proceeds could help teens go to church camp! He instilled Christian values in his children as well. They remain strong in their faith and dedication to their local churches. Mark shared that the way to heaven is through Jesus Christ to many over the years. His actions reflected his faith every single day.
He married his true love, Marcia Klump, on August 11, 1984. They had three children - Amber, Matthew and Luke. He loved all 7 of his grandchildren and if one needed to be held and rocked, he was the man for the job. Sitting down to a puzzle or coloring in a coloring book was his usual area of expertise.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Crots and mother, Donna Crots. Mark is survived by his wife, Marcia, his children Amber (Jonathon) Heaton, Matthew (Bridgett) Crots, and Luke (Megan) Crots; Grandchildren, Jackson, Ava, Jordan, Alexa, Zander, Chloe and Rory; Brothers, Wayne (Cheryl) Crots, Darrell (Cindy) Crots and Bryan (Jen) Crots.
Viewing will be from 3-8pm at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, on Friday, September 5, 2025. Interment will be at the Whiteford Union Cemetery for family. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am at Hope Baptist Church, 6250 South Ave, Toledo, OH 43615, on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
