Randall Lee Crots

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randall Lee Crots, 62 years of Deerfield, MI, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side.
Born to Lynn and Sandra (McCormick) Crots on November 19, 1961, Randy lived a life full of adventure and risk. Randy was a 1979 graduate of Whiteford High School and the co-owner and operator of Lasershot Excavating in Deerfield, MI with his father Lynn. Dedicated and hardworking, Randy could be found working from dawn until dusk, whatever it took to get the job done. When Randy was not working on the job, he could be found sitting by his pool watching his grandchildren swim, washing his classic car or truck, or hanging out with friends on the porch. Randy loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing golf, boating, hunting with his grandsons, camping, riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and ATVs, or taking trips to Posey Lake with his family. Randy also could be found playing for the Petersburg VFW Pool League.
In 2016, Randy married Lisa Phillips at their home, and she survives. Other survivors include; his father Lynn (Diane); son, Josh (Renea) Crots; step-sons, Nicholas (Shannon) and Nathan (Chrissie) Thetford; brothers, Chad (Deanna) and Jason (Megan) Crots, Brian (Lucy) Pirolli; brother in law, Pat Gallagher, grandchildren, Hunter, Tanner, and Colton Crots, Elli and Emery Thetford, and Addison, Sophia, and Rylee Thetford; his loyal companion Dozer and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends whom he shared many memories with.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Sanda; sister, Deb Gallagher; and infant brother, Denny.
In accordance with Randy's wishes, cremation has taken place with no service to be held. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
Randy was a strong and kind man and leaves a void that will never be able to be filled.
