Barneveld – Mark Charles Duffey, age 66, of Barneveld, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at his home.
He was born on February 15, 1958 in Dodgeville, son of the late Edward and Betty (Ihus) Duffey. He graduated from Barneveld High School in 1976 and worked with his parents on the family farm.
In 1981, he married Annette Williams at Barneveld Lutheran Church and they had two daughters, Liz and Katie. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Besides farming, Mark also worked in drywalling, landscaping and welding. He loved listening to country music, growing flowers and being outdoors. He enjoyed his time with family and friends, talking sports, hunting, farming and any other subject that came to mind.
Mark is survived by his children Liz (Kevin) Eaton of Madison and Katie Duffey (her friend, Robbie Sanford) of Monona; his sisters Virginia (Dave) Jensen of Hollandale and Marlene (Randy) Lund of Dubuque; his grandchildren Ryan and Annabelle Eaton; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Middlebury Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors accorded by the Barneveld American Legion Post No. 433.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family will be appreciated.
