It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Thomas Fater, who left us on June 23, 2025, in Trenton, Michigan. Born on September 1, 1986, Mark was a beloved son, brother, father, and uncle, whose vibrant spirit and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mark was the cherished son of Catherine Fater and the late Gerald Fater, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving sister, Katie Spreeman, and his treasured son, Jayden Thomas Fater. Mark was also a devoted uncle to his three nieces and nephews-Emersyn, Rylan, and Lennyn-who brought him immense joy and laughter. He is remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts.
A true lover of the outdoors, Mark had a childlike wonder that inspired those around him. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was racing RC cars or playing with his drone, where his passion and creativity shone through. His playful spirit and enthusiasm for adventure made him a beloved figure among friends and family alike.
Mark's warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a unique ability to connect with people, making them feel valued and understood. His legacy of love and joy will continue to resonate in the lives he touched.
Mark Thomas Fater will forever remain in our hearts, a shining light whose memory will guide us through the days ahead. His love for life and those around him will never be forgotten. His cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory" located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

I don´t really have the words to explain how much this feels surreal, how I feel, and how our teams feels bro, but I just seen this and I had to. You were one of the most genuine guys I ever met, or as you would say SOLID!! You wasn´t just my coworker, you was friend, my dog! I could always talk to you about anything that was going on in my life and you would always keep it 100, and give me advice if I ask. I´m gone miss going out to the job site, and you always having something funny to talk about. Never hesitating to share your knowledge, and always making the job, not feel like a job. You was the first person to insist that I go golfing even though I never been golfing lol..This hurt bro, We all hurt, everybody on the team, and we miss you bro. It feels different. I´m happy I got to meet you, and really consider you a friend. Thank you for all the talks, and always being solid, and never holding back your thoughts. We miss you and we never gone forget you. Rest easy my guy!!

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to marks loving family. I must say that mark was one of the most pleasant young men that I have had the privilege to know. He always greeted us with a smile or a hug and a pleasant conversation. His light has obviously touched all who knew him, even in this dark hour of grief...his light is still shining bright in the those hearts. What a beautiful gift he left behind sending much love and healing to his family Bill& Judy Montney

I worked with Mark a Short time at St Mary's Cement. He was a all around good guy, genuine, and hard worker. He was a proud parent to his Son. Talked about Jayden, how he looked forward to teaching him things about life his Father had done for him. He will be greatly missed at work and the world lost one of its Blessed People.
