Mark Randall Goza

Mark R. Goza, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, at the age of 71 in Bastrop, Louisiana. Born on November 30, 1953, in Monroe, Louisiana, Mark was a highly skilled Brick Mason, a trade he learned from his father as a young man. Mark was a man who made friends easily and had an infectious personality.
Mark was a friendly presence in the lives of all who knew him, carrying a strength and an temperment that lit up the room, drew people close and made them feel at home. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Lorea Cloyd, his father, Kenneth Goza, and his sister, Brenda Goza. His kind heart and contagious laugh live on through his siblings, Vicky Goza and Jay Cloyd; his nieces, Dana DeLoach, Jayla Turlington, Katie Cloyd and Alli Cloyd; his nephew, Kenny Dickerson; and the joy he shared with his great-nieces and great-nephews.
An avid sports enthusiast, Mark found pleasure in the excitement of watching his favorite teams play. He never missed a chance to engage in the camaraderie that comes with being a dedicated fan, rejoicing in every victory. Mark's love for sports was only eclipsed by the love he had for his family, friends, and his dogs with whom he spent countless cherished moments. His life was enriched with simple pleasures, and a sense of togetherness that will resonate through generations.
Mark's ability to express care and support for those around him was unwavering. His approachable nature made every encounter memorable and his sense of humor left a lasting imprint on everyone he knew. Mark lived fully, loved deeply, and was deeply loved in return.
