Mark E. Hilpipre, 67 of Bouton, IA passed away peacefully at his home on July 7, 2024, from Cancer. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Perry, IA. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Minburn, IA will follow the service. A gathering will be held following the graveside service at the Washington Township School at 18930 210th St, Minburn, IA. One of Mark's wishes was to have family and friends raise a glass and reminisce of the good times spent together.
Mark was born on December 19, 1956, to Kenneth and Mary Jane (Hudgins) Hilpipre in Clarion, IA. He was raised and lived in the Minburn area his entire life. Mark worked for some years at the Minburn Co-Op. He was employed at Pioneer Hi-Bred International as a Fabricator in Johnston from 1988 to 1997. Prior to retiring in 2018, he was employed by the Dallas County Road Department. He enjoyed helping on the family farm in the spring and fall following his retirement.
Mark married Jodi Renshaw on May 23, 1992, in Minburn. Together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Trips to the Lake of the Ozarks, the Mississippi houseboat excursions, and 4-wheel trail riding in South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Minnesota were always memorable. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing (his version of it anyway). Mark was a member of the Perry Elks Lodge for 31 years. He will be remembered by his family as a son, brother, and father that was always there when needed. He will truly be missed by many.
Mark is survived by his wife, Jodi Hilpipre, children: Nathan (Dianna) Hilpipre, Kristen (Aaron) Calhoun, and Jill (Brian) Fitch. 8 grandchildren: Brady (Marley Hansen), Noah, Karter (Kadee), Kayla, Kason, Jaren, Jordyn, and Trevor. Four great grandchildren: Kinsleigh, Jaxtyn, Kiptyn and Monroe. Mother, Mary Jane Hilpipre, six sisters: Colleen Bohem (Doug Silva), Cheryl McCool, Denise (Neil) Johnson, Jeanine Clark (Kevin Carlson), Rachelle (Larry) Ohrtman, and Joline Newman (Scott Ferguson), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Hilpipre, and brother, Richard Hilpipre.
The family wishes to thank EveryStep Hospice for their wonderful care and support during his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to EveryStep Foundation.

My deepest sympathy to Jodi and the entire family. I am glad I had the opportunity to know Mark, even though it was for a short time. He always had a great smile and laugh!
