In addition to his mother, Mr. Janka is survived by his brother, David Janka; sister, Ashley Janka (Shamauh); nephews, Devyne and De'von; stepfather, Jack Young; aunt, Carrie Heckman (Dan); uncles, Jeff Novak (Kari), Dan Janka (Joyce), Ted Janka (Kasia); grandmother, Carol Novak; and many cousins.
Mark graduated from Cary High School and attended East Carolina University. He was an avid sports fan, especially of Duke Basketball, and enjoyed music, movies, and mystery novels.
No services are planned at this time.
