Obituary
Mark Peter Lindberg, age 68, passed away at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado on October 14th, 2021. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 26th, 1953 to Leland Curtiss Lindberg and Dorothy (Hanson) Lindberg. The family later moved to Minnesota, where Mark spent much of his life. In 1972 he married Christine Landwehr and they welcomed two daughters, Alia and Elissa.
Mark will be remembered for his kind, gentle spirit and easy rapport. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed the mountains of Colorado and the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. He spent his career in the field of technology, most recently in his consulting work with ASI and Eide Bailly. A member of APICS Northern Colorado, he served terms on the board and as president.
In 2008, Mark married Sharon Schmidt and they made their home in Colorado, enjoying frequent visits to their favorite mountain spots and cheering for the Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche and Rockies.
Grateful for having shared his life, are his wife Sharon, his daughters Alia Collins and Elissa Lindberg, their mother Christine Vargas, son-in-law Chris Collins, grandsons Mark, Gregory and John Collins, his siblings, Debbie Preece, Patti Lindberg, and Dale Lindberg, and brother-in-law Ly Preece all of Minnesota, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be fondly remembered by Sharon's family in Texas, Lisa, Rob and Seth Wechsler and David, Tracy and Keegan Schmidt. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rebecca Tanner.
Memorial services will be held privately with family.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Mark's life may make a donation in his name to the Action Center of Jefferson County, a provider of food, clothing, and support services to those in need.
