Mark Bizkit Edward Maxey, 54, of Thaxton passed away Friday, November 15, 2024. He was a son of the late, Gary Rodney Maxey and Eugenia Ann Wilson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard Burkhart and Sidorothy Dot and William Maxey and Abigail.
Surviving are his fianc, Susan Nichols Cooper; mom, Linda Maxey; brothers and sisters, David Maxey (Sara), Allen Maxey (Shelley), Chad Maxey, Larry Lee Burkhart, Jeana Fowler (Matt) and Bobbijean Wilson; The Wolf Pack, Henry Balthis, Terry Claytor TC, Shawn Linkous and Roy Wilson; Susan's children that were dear to his heart, Brittany Nichols, Colleen and Kyle Cooper; his fur babies, Annie, Nite Nite, Daisy and Bruno; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 21, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke, Va. A celebration of Marks life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, November 22, at Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke Chapel with Pastor Michael Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society or The American Forestry Association.
