A graveside service for Mark Edwin Meeker, 64, of Jacksonville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, with the Reverend Jesse Barksdale officiating. Mr. Meeker passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at RMC, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dana Meeker; children, Carrie Appel (Nephi), Brandon Frost (Kayla), Max Edwin Meeker (Heather), and Alex Lee Meeker (Makaila); grandchildren, Dalton Frost, Jaden Trosper, Jake Thrasher, Hunter Frost, Carter Frost, Oden Hollingsworth, Jack Meeker, Dexter Meeker, and Adrianna Meeker; great-grandchildren, Jack Frost, Willow Trosper, and Blakeley; sisters, Dianne Wallace Adams (MSG Raymond Adams) and Marie E. Meeker Tyson (Russell); nieces, Sherry Adams Belcher and Marissa Tyson; nephews, Robert Adams (Sherry) and Tyler Tyson; and several friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Frost Wallace Meeker and MSG Edward Joseph Meeker; brother, Gary L. Meeker; and grandson, Garrett Frost.

Mark was born in South Korea and grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama, where he attended Jacksonville High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Panama. Throughout his life, he worked in both manufacturing and landscaping. Mark enjoyed relaxing with his favorite shows-especially SpongeBob SquarePants-and loved playing video games such as Call of Duty and Metal Gear Solid. He cherished time spent with his wife, Dana, the love of his life, and took great joy in hosting family cookouts and barbecues.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family of Mr. Meeker in his honor.
