Beloved father, brother, uncle and friend passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper. Age 60 years. Son of the late Mary Metiva, Mark was born February 26, 1964 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a jack of all trades. Mark enjoyed barbecuing in his back yard known as "Metiva's Backyard Barbecue" and was best known for his smoked meat. He also enjoyed shooting pool and watching Ohio State University and the Lions football.
Surviving to cherish his memory are one daughter, Allison and Jerry Landskroener, Saginaw; two brothers, Rick and Cheryl Metiva, Dave and Stacy Metiva; many nieces and nephews especially Megan Metiva, Justin (Destiny) Metiva, Justin (Mary) Boyce, Janelle (Bryan) Reardon; several great-nieces and nephews and several cousins especially Jerry "Slick" Metiva. Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Terry (Mary Kay) Metiva, his grandparents, Elwood "Papa" and Marvel "Granny" Metiva and his best friend, Todd Nichols. A special thank you to Dr. Esteitie and Dr. Hollandsworth and the staff of Covenant SICU and CVICU for the love and care given to Mark.
Honoring Mark's wishes cremation has taken place. A visitation will take place at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family.
