Mark Leo Pannett, Sr.
of Owego, NY
Mark Leo Pannett, Sr., a man whose passion for life was as powerful as the rock & roll music he adored, passed away on March 19, 2024, after a battle with cancer. Born on April 28, 1968, Mark was the son of the late Lloyd and Wanda (Holmes) Pannett.
Mark's journey began in the spring air of 1968, a time when the world was humming with the sounds of change and innovation. He embraced this energy throughout his life, channeling it into every aspect of his existence.
He is survived by his three sons: Mark Jr., James, and Elijha; the mother of his children Serena Hitchcock; and Mark's sister, Vonda Klien, along with her family, will also cherish his memory.
Professionally, Mark worked to serving customers with a friendly chat and a helping hand as a cashier at AutoZone in Owego. His love for music was a constant companion throughout his life. He found solace and joy in the electrifying riffs of AC/DC, often cranking up the volume to share his enthusiasm with anyone within earshot. His passion extended beyond just listening; Mark was also a talented guitarist who could often be found strumming blues tunes that resonated with his soul. His music was an expression of his innermost feelings, a language that spoke of his joys and his struggles.
Abiding with the families wishes, there will be no services. Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting his guestbook at www.sutfinfuneralchapel.com Mark may have taken his final bow, but his encore will play on in the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come. May you rest easy, Mark. Your song will never be forgotten.
