TEWKSBURY: Mark V. Prekop, age 64, a resident of Tewksbury for over 35 years, passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on Saturday, November 30, 2024
He was the beloved husband of Lori A. (Goddard) Prekop, with whom he celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on September 27, 2024.
Born in Utica, New York on February 8, 1960, he was the son of the late Frank Prekop and the late Nancy (Vaughan) Prekop.
Mark was raised in Woburn, graduated from Woburn High School in 1978, and was a longtime member of the Woburn Moose Lodge # 1214.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 30 years by the Severance Trucking Company of Dracut.
Mark enjoyed motorcycle rides on his Harley Davidson Street Glide with his son Mike and close friends Jim and Jane Reynolds, fishing with his son Matt, the beach house at Old Orchard Beach Maine, and traveling. He and his wife recently traveled to Europe and shared stories about his trip of a lifetime. He loved listening to classic rock music, was an avid Three Stooges fan, and spending time with his sons watching or attending wrestling events. He treasured the companionship of his dogs, Lyla and Daisy.
Besides his wife Lori, he is survived by his two sons, Michael D. Prekop and Matthew J. Prekop: sister, Stacey Rao: cousin Pam Tolson and family, his close friends, the Kelleher-Rosmarinofski, Cordero, Woods, and Kelley Gonsalves families.
Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday, December 8th, from 2pm to 4pm, to be followed by a memorial service at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury.
