Mark was born on August 15, 1962, to Barbara (nee Garrison) and the late Demoine Redman. He passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, following complications stemming from juvenile diabetes.
Mark was raised in Moore, Oklahoma, where he spent his youth before attending the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from OU as a proud Sooner with his Bachelors of Accountancy degree. From Oklahoma, Mark first started working in the oil & gas industry before joining TWA Airlines. His first position at TWA sparked his long-standing love for the airline industry, and his career progressed through increasing positions at TWA, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines. He served on several international boards and panels through the International Airline Transport Association and was the quintessential world traveler. After leaving United Airlines, he remained connected to the industry in a consulting capacity before settling into an accounting role at home.
Travel was Mark’s greatest hobby and love, and he proudly displays his world map with all his journeys pinned. He’s been on every continent except Antarctica, and his map pins read as a list of some of the world’s greatest cities. It was a chance holiday to Palm Springs where Mark met his husband Robert, and the two continued to share their adventurous spirit together.
Sports were another great passion of Mark’s, and he remained a devoted Oklahoma Sooner through his final days. Should the Sooners not be playing, he could be found eagerly watching (or flipping channels between) football, hockey, international soccer, the Olympics or any other sporting event that attracted his imagination.
Mark was the beloved husband of Robert Bryden, and daddy to his dogs, Lucca and Niko. He is mourned by his husband, as well as his mother, Barbara; sister, Angela Redman (Dayna); brother, Michael Redman (Robert); nieces, Emily Redman, Katie McCullough (Jordan) and Julianna Redman; and nephew, Erik Redman (Chrissy). Extended family also mourning Mark includes numerous cousins, and aunts, 5 brothers-in-law, 4 sisters-in-law, and numerous additional nieces and nephews. He was a much-loved family member to all.
