Mark S. Shotzman

May 22, 1960 – August 14, 2025

Mark S. Shotzman, 65, of Howe, Indiana, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 14, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on May 22, 1960, in Ozark, Arkansas, the son of the late Charles and Naomi (Bupp) Shotzman. Though he lived in Arkansas only the first six months of his life, Mark carried a lifelong love for the state.

Mark was a 1979 graduate of Sturgis High School and had made his home in Howe, Indiana, since 1983, having moved there from Sturgis. On June 21, 1980, he married the love of his life, Judy Yoder, in LaGrange, Indiana. They shared 45 wonderful years of marriage.

Following high school, Mark began working at Morgan Olson in Sturgis, where he was a devoted and hardworking employee for many years.

Mark was a man of many passions. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and was an avid hockey fan, especially devoted to the Kalamazoo K-Wings. However, his greatest joy came from being with his family. He never missed a chance to support his grandchildren, always present at their many activities and sporting events. His loyalty and love for his family were unwavering.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy; his children: Casey Shotzman of Howe, Indiana; Josh (Amber) Shotzman of LaGrange, Indiana; Adam (Cassandra) Shotzman of Bluffton, Indiana; and Sam (Robert) Parish of Sturgis, Michigan. He will be deeply missed by his six grandchildren: Justin, Bryttani, Gabriel, Asher, Alexis, and Dalton. He is also survived by his stepmother, Christine Shotzman of Sturgis, and his nephew, Matthew (Theresa) Shotzman of Newburgh, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Victoria Rose Shotzman; and his nephew, Brett Michael Shotzman.

Family and friends will be received from 1:00–3:00 P.M. and 5:00–7:00 P.M. on Friday, August 22nd, at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. In accordance with Mark's wishes, cremation will follow the visitation.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Hackman Family Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 9, Sturgis, MI 49091, or via Mark's tribute page at www.hackmanfamilyfuneralhomes.com, where donations may be applied to the family's crowdfunding campaign.
