Mark Gregory Sooter, 66, of Rolla, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Harry S. Truman VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born November 23, 1958 in Jefferson City, Missouri the son of Mark Junior and Kathryn Jeanette (Crum) Sooter. On November 24, 1979 in Brumley, Missouri he was united in marriage to Carolyn (Robinett) Sooter who survives of the home.

Daughter, Stephanie (Sooter) Brooks (Darryl) of Aurora, MO

Son, Mark Gregory Sooter II (Nicole Luebbert) of Springfield, MO

Seven Grandchildren, Samantha Sooter, Dylan Boessen, Austin Sooter, Alivia Brooks, Brently Ryan, Mark Sooter III (Allyssah Witherall) and Kylie Luebbert

Three Great-Grandchildren, Sophia Sooter, Adalyn Boessen, Wrenley Boessen, and baby Waylon Boessen on the way

Father, Mark Junior Sooter of Eldon, MO

Sisters, Deborah Gore (Paul) of Cape Coral, FL; Linda Sooter of Lee Summit, MO

His mother, Kathryn Sooter preceded him in death.

Mark served in the United States Navy for seventeen years. He was owner/operator of Mr. Fixit at Lake Ozark, MO, was also employed with ABB and Measurex in Alabama. Mark was an avid camper, fisherman, grill master and football fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Alabama Crimson Tide. His greatest love was his grandchildren and spending time with family.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Graveside Service to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented.

Memorials in his name are suggested In Care of the Family.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
