Mark R. Thomas, age 64 years, of Plymouth, died peacefully at his home on April 6, 2024. He was the husband of Cheryl (Steidle) Thomas, and the son of the late Robert and Barbara Jill Thomas. Born on January 10, 1960 in Wellington, New Zealand, he was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Mark was a chef and owned several restaurants of the years including Mark's Drive & Dine in Plymouth, Shane's Cookies & Sweets, Bon Vivant in Woburn, and Explorer's Restaurant in Scituate. He loved cooking and was known for making the best wings and cookies by all who knew him. He loved music and to be surrounded by people, and often enjoyed entertaining. One of his joys, was the annual vacation he took with his brother and nephew to Hawaii. His life revolved around his children and family.
Besides his wife Cheryl, Mark will be forever missed by his children Aija Thomas of North Hollywood, California and Shane Thomas of Kissimmee, Florida, his step-children Kristen Thistle and her husband Brian of Pembroke and William Montinari of Carver. He also leaves his brother Simon Thomas of Plymouth, his sister Lynn O'Toole Henderson of Beverly, his grandchildren Connor and Jake Thistle, and Nikko and Gino Montinari, and his nephew and best friend Zachary Thomas, and nieces Brittany Thomas, Rebecca, Kim and Lindsey O'Toole.
