Mark Alan Thone
May 30, 1956 – December 19, 2021
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Mary Anne (Joseph) Thein and John Thone. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Nancy (Nee Drake); his son Andrew (Dana) Thone of West Allis; his grand twins Drew and Ginger Thone; siblings Paula (James) Dahlman of Milwaukee, Geri Lynn Murtaugh of New Berlin, Carolyn (Scott) Bertram of Watertown and Christopher (Jenny Bostick) of Bolingbrook, IL; nieces Megan (Joseph) Wells of Crivitz, Shannon (Luke) Hattenhauer of Madison, Sara Simes of Whitewater and Katie (Bryan) Mueller of Appleton; and nephew Matthew (Lauren) Dahlman of Destin, FL. Mark is also survived by brother-in-law Donald (Tammy) Drake of Branchburg, NJ; and nephews Daniel of New York City, NY, Jonathan (Lindsay) of Berlin, NJ, and Jay of Piscataway, NJ. He is further survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Mark spent many years working in home care, primarily for Right at Home, but also for Home Instead and Rent-a-Daughter. Mark's compassion and gentle spirit suited him well in the care of others.
Mark was a lifelong Praise Team member at churches he attended, most recently with the Praise Team at Lamb of God Lutheran Church and for many years at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church. Mark played many stringed instruments, including bass guitar, upright string bass, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, and banjo.
Mark's hobbies included music, reading, stamp and coin collecting. He enjoyed watching baseball and football on TV.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd., Waukesha. Additional visitation will held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 1:00 PM – 3:15 PM at LAMB OF GOD LUTHERAN CHURCH, N19 W25050 Bluemound Rd., Pewaukee. Funeral Service to follow at 3:30 PM.
