So sad to hear our childhood friend , roommate and fellow lover of Lake Champlain has passed on. Mark was a friend in the very early years (11 years & up) to me Patty (Jewell ) Stretton. Rand Stretton, lived with Mark as a roommate in the "70´s" in Shelburne, Vermont.
We will miss running into him at The Old Dock, Essex, New York.

Gretchen and family,
The news of your tragic loss has reached Florida. Your write up couldn´t be more accurate of a man who was outgoing and infectious. I have memories of Mogs and Mark roaring with laughter in the FAH lounge. I am sorry you have to go through this sad time. Please know you are in my prayers and I know your network of friends and family will lift you up.
God Bless

As relatively new friends and neighbors of Mark´s dear, long-time friend, Jim Parrotto, we heard great stories about Mark. We hoped to meet him and are grateful that we got the opportunity. Though we only a short, but very enjoyable time together when he visited Jim in Virginia, we know he was a special person who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
With sympathy to Gretchen and all those whose lives were touched by Mark,

It was such an honor to have worked for so many years with such a wonderful, funny charismatic man. You were always the calm in the storm. Thank you for the honor of being not only your coworker but also your friend. I know you will be watching over your beautiful family as they navigate this world, they carry you in their hearts forever. Rest high upon that mountain.
