Markus E. Mayberry

Markus E. Mayberry, age 34, of Sidney, Ohio passed away on Thursday February 12,2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 25,1991, in Piqua, OH to his late father Gene Mayberry, Jr and his Mother Angela Durham Williams of Piqua, Ohio.

Markus will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving father, son and brother. In addition to his mother Markus is survived by his stepfather: Alan Williams, Piqua, OH; two sons: Joshua Randall Mayberry, Josiah Hall and their mother Brooke Randall of Troy, OH; one sister: Amanda Mayberry, Piqua, OH; his brother in life: Kevin Magill, Piqua, OH; grandmothers: Betty Jean Miracle, Sidney, OH; Mary Mayberry, Lockington, OH; one nephew Kayden Spangenberger, Piqua, OH; mother and father in law: Todd and Tina Randall, Troy, OH, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved pet Kina. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Arthur Durham, Richard Mayberry; grandmother: Shirley Mayberry and his uncle: Mike Mayberry.

Markus graduated from Vandalia-Butler High School in 2012. He worked for Hobart Brothers in Piqua for 10 years as a machinist. He enjoyed the outdoors and having fun with his son while going to water parks, riding go carts, riding bicycles on the bike paths, and time at the river as well as shooting a game of pool and gaming. He was an avid fan of his favorite football teams the Michigan Wolverines and Minnesota Vikings and would cheer them on faithfully. His greatest time was spent with his son and spending time with his family and friends.

A Celebration to honor the life of Markus will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Melcher Sowers Funeral Home.

A Memorial fund will be setup in the near future for his son Joshua.
