Marla Lynn Vinson, a cherished member of the Dawson Springs community and beloved matriarch to her family, departed from this world on September 13, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on March 25, 1952, in Henderson, Kentucky, Marla graced the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

For many years, she proudly owned and operated the Dawson Springs Florist, where her talent for floral design brought joy to countless families. Her dedication extended beyond her profession as she embraced her cherished role as a mother and homemaker. Marla's home was  filled with laughter, love, and the comforting essence of family—a place where her children and grandchildren have made lasting memories.

Marla was a graduate of Henderson County High School in Henderson, KY. Her drive for learning and growth remained a guiding light throughout her life. She fostered a strong connection with her community, and as a member of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, she found solace and strength in her faith.

She is survived by her long-time companion and friend, Jack Lukes of Dawson Springs, KY. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kelly Lynn Culver of Dawson Springs, KY, and her two sons, Joshua Damon Vinson and Dusty Earl Vinson, also from Dawson Springs. Marla’s legacy continues through her two brothers, Dennis Clary and Randy (Linda) Clary, both of Henderson, KY, and the eight grandchildren who adored her: Courtney Rae Lyn Woolfork, Skyler Ray Clayton, Austin Arch Clayton, Kyleigh Michelle Vinson, Paislee Ann Vinson, Jessie Lynn Jenkins, Sara Sophia Vinson, and Emily Elizabeth Rice-Vinson.  Additionally, Marla was blessed with eight great-grandchildren—Aubrielle, Michael, Caleb, Cole, Brylee, Elizabeth, Olivia, and Amelia—who will carry on her spirit for generations to come.

Marla joins her beloved parents, Enoch Clary and Mary Margaret Goldsberry Clary, in eternal rest. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.

Visitation for Marla Lynn Vinson will be held on September 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, located at 201 N Main St, Dawson Springs, KY. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. She will be laid to rest at Creekmur Cemetery where her family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable life and everlasting love.

Pallbearers will be Skyler Clayton, Connor Bearden, Jerad Washburn, Michael Woolfork, III, Jeffrey Walker and Justin Washburn.

Marla’s journey on this earth may have come to an end, but her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
