Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home IncMarlene Esther Brown, age 90, of Beaver Creek Twp, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025 at The Brook of Grayling.
Marlene was born on July 14, 1935 to Randolph S. and Irene E. (Howelett) Estleman in Scio Township, MI. Marlene loved to watch NASCAR racing, enjoyed reading, working on jigsaw puzzles, and also used to play the accordion at family get-togethers. She worked at LEER Corporation in Roscommon, MI as a machine operator for over 30 years. And she was an avid salt dip collector, having a very large group of them from over the years.
Marlene is survived by her children, Janet Parmer and Randy Brown; grandchildren, Jan Parmer, Jason (Sharon) Parmer, Melinda Parmer, and Leann (Corey Burtts)Parmer; great-grandchildren, Victoria Parmer, Danielle (Dalton) Dean, Heather Parmer, Melanie Parmer, Sean (Katie) Parmer, Debbie (Daniel) Parmer, and Autumn (Charles Witherspoon)Parmer; cousins, Charles Estleman and Loren Estleman; brother-in-law, Richard Brown; sisters-in-law, Joyce Padgett and Nola Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
Marlene is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Brown and parents Randolph and Irene Estleman
Graveside services will commence on Saturday, August 30, 2025, 11:00 AM at Beaver Creek Twp Cemetery, MI. Following the service a luncheon will immediately follow at the Beaver Creek Twp Hall.
