A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday February 3, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.
Memorials may be made to donor's choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Marlene was born on July 18, 1946, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Louis and Florence (Ruholl) Bushur. She married Ronald Greuel on September 2, 1967, and he preceded her in death on July 30, 2018.
Marlene enjoyed cooking, baking, and being in her flower garden. Family was most important to Marlene and she loved being around them.
Marlene is survived by her sons, Doug (Lisa) Greuel of Stewardson and Darin (Misty) Greuel of Teutopolis; grandsons, Craig Greuel and Schafer Greuel both of Stewardson; and siblings, Carol Jean Vahling, Kenneth (Lucy) Bushur, Dennis (Kathy) Bushur, Bert (Kenny) Walls, Sharon Fulk, and Roger (Pauletta) Bushur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Ronald.
